Norway Travel STAPS L3

In the morning, we had a choice between dance or ice skating. During ice skating lesson we did a lot of game for instance «  relay race»; « freeze tag» and a other we had to said «  The Queen/ king demend you moove like a dog, snake... » that was for the warm up. It was a funny lesson.

During the danse lesson, Noémie began a warm up and then she taught us some hip hop basic step. Then Hakon, the regular teacher taught us an American danse called «  the Swing ». Later, during the 10 AM lesson, Maud had to propose a warm up in self defense with Flavie and Fanny. Thereafter, we attended to the rest of the lesson. During this time the others walked down to the lake and took some pictures. You can see one of them above:

The lake was frozen in some places. The hiking was very difficult and tiring because the slope was very steep. But although we were very hungry, we had to wait two hours because the boys forgot sandwich at the chalet. Thanks a lot guys! Did you know there were sales on memory?

After, we went at Volley Ball PE lesson to watch the behaviour from teacher and pupils. One of the student had to prepare the warm up. It was the first Volley Ball lesson, which is why the teacher organized some competitive games to assess the performance level of their pupils: in France, we would call that a diagnostic evaluation.

The afternoon we prepared quiz's question. There were 3 topics: Alsace- General culture from France and Sport. The funniest moment occured when the Erasmus student tried to pronouce: « Schwindratzheim » or « Oberhausbergen ».

Friday : Enjoy the Life

WhAt'S hApPeNeD DuRiNg ThE NiGhT...

During the night, there were some strange and dumb people who came in our bedroom to make a joke.... they woke up all the girls by saying « police, we are the police » while they were moving every where and jumping with their lights! Deborah shouted, Delphine was too tired to react and i said : « you are so stupid the gays !!» YES because in fact it was a joke from the gays... but girls have not said they last word !! We will get one`s revenge and it will be terrible ^^ ...

THE CROSSCOUNTRY SKIING

At the beginning it was not win for everybody, especially for me : I fell 10 times at least and this, only to go down from house to university!!

The Åkun`s objectives : to be back with everybody alive ... Indeed he didn`t say it like that he said : everybody in good health !!

First, we went to a parking and tried to be confident, to be aware of the feelings in order to be confortable! So we have tried two techniques :

• the traditional Norvegian technique with putting ski parallel

• the skating technique when you walk like a duck

   

By the way, before leaving the parking we had a test, to make sure that everybody is able to go further... and we were a good class ^^ and made a nice crosscoutry hiking!

Some of us applyed the duck technique and other used the norvegian technique but finnaly we all succeed !! Despite some falls... ^^

The crosscountry hiking was great ; The hiking was made of downhill and uphill landscape that's why there were a lot of falls but also that's why it was funny like a challenge!!

To Enjoy the Life

We stopped halfway through to enjoy the life. Indeed we look for a nice area to take the lunch... but it was not a unusual lunch : we dug to carve out a niche to make fire and last but not at least to sit down as on benches all around the fire !!

Then we have eaten a traditional meal : we have put sausage in the fire to grill it and then we have put in some kind of pancake or wrap... and it was very good ^^!

Sauna, musculation, swimming pool, and the most important , an Igloo with Mr Schnitzler, eat and sleep !!!

The ïntërnåtîønål dåy!

  After a short night for some of us, we woke up early because of our french quizz presentation for Erasmus students.

At the morning, we began our presentation by a brainstorming about what they think about France. Many caracteristics of France was said by the students as cheese, baguette, disneyland, Zidane, wine, Paris..

After that we organized our game in three groups of people. They had to answer questions, the most quickly they could. It was about France, sport, physical education and Strasbourg.

We spent good time, it was friendly and there was a funny atmosphere. In our opinion, it was amazing and though the quizz they learnt many things about our country.

At 10 a.m., we finished our presentation to let time for the others presentations which were organized in the cafeteria.

Each student's nationality prepared a stand about their typical caracteristics in order to make us discover. That was the time for us to try new specialities of food like pizza from Italy, sharks from Island ( that was really disgusting! ). We tried some good chocolate from Belgium ( hum! ) or potatoes cake from Tcheckoslovakia.

We also discovered  countries thanks to pictures which were presented in each stand. It was the first time they organized the international day and it was very interesting.

    Afterwards, Sylvain did some magic towers with his cards and he had success and he amazed everybody! Then, Noemie made a show in hiphop and explained the four main differents styles. She had a huge audience, who was surprised by her talent. Quentin and Delphine had completed her intervention with gymnastic movements.

At 12'30 p.m., we witnessed to a presentation of two girls who where in Canary by the Erasmus system.

Throughout the afternoon, the university organized the « coffee hour »: that is to say free coffe!! (something not too expensive for us.. very interesting!).  During this time, students played cards together, discussed and drank.

    Sylvain, Noemie, Maud and Delphine walked into the wild and took some pictures about beautiful landscapes. They saw the sunset when they were of the top of the mountain.

During that time, Flavie, Deborah and Fanny tried x-country skiing around our house. It was amazing and funny for us even if it was a little bit dangerous in the downhills!

  Quentin and Thomas prefered maintain their muscles! .. maybe they will meet again the beautiful sport teacher.. but « It's no picnic » (..)!

We didn’t go shopping, so we did not have much to eat for breakfast. We discovered that we would have to walk 15 minutes each day, through the forest, to go to the University. At 10:00, Håkon gave us a short-talk about the ski in Norway. He talked us about a particular way of life in Norway : the “friluftsliv”. It means to live in the nature.

After yum-yum lunch, we had the first practice lesson and the first artistic falls. It was with Nils and it was about a traditional sport in Norway: the Bandy. It looks like hockey, but the puck is substituted by a ball.

A special bravo to the best player of the team: Quentin, who really loved ice. He fell about twenty times to be closer from it.

It was the red versus the black and the black team won the game 7 to 3. Christophe Chnichni was in the looser's team. But we're waiting for the revenge!

After all these emotions  we went shopping in Notodden for all the week. We have some Nutella fans in the group, so we had to stock some. The way back was hard and long.

We didn’t sleep a lot the day before, so we decided to spend a quiet evening in the chalet. Only Quentin, Thomas and Sylvain went to the university to practice a little bit body-building.

After some difficulties to prepare the trip, we finally started from Strasbourg at 12.00 AM. We went to the Airport from Frankfort with two cars. As we were especially afraid of a crash plane, we thought that it could be a good idea to take a last delicious lunch before dying. So we decided to go to Burger King to eat a Triple Whopper : what a great idea !! 

There we are ready to brave our vertigo. And we had to be prepared, because the flight was sometimes a little bit eventful; during the landing all the lights switched off without any reasons. Finally, we all arrived safe and sound.

But the travel wasn’t finished at all: we had to take the bus between Oslo-Torp and Gvarv with a crazy driver (according to Flanny-Flavie). In fact, he drove fast on an icy and foggy road. What a relief to see Christophe and Håkon at the destination. But this was not really the end of our trip: 11:00 PM and still not arrived. Håkon drove us to our lovely chalet in Notodden. We were exhausted, because we traveled 12 hours. So we were happy to go to sleep.

          Let's go for the second day, beginning with an early and cold wake up.
Leaving the chalet so motivated and enthousiastic, we took the way to go watch a PE (physical education) lesson. This part was actually really interesting : we just saw a long blond hair female teacher, with perfect blue eyes, a beautiful face and a wonderful...oops, that will stay for the private report.
Nevertheless, we want to pay tribute to her conception of physical education, mixing the interest of pupils with her PE goals.

At the end of the lesson, after a little bit of "talking" (we will keep this word) with the teacher, we came back to university college to meet the best athlete of the century : we got our life chance to meet him for real and the ambiance was electric. This guy is practicing one of the most dangerous and extreme sport all over the world : it is...

AIR CLIMBING. Yes. Air climbing.

     After the poor lunch of Monday, we decided to prepare a great feast with... sandwiches.
However, as it would have been too easy this way, we just let them home without time to take it back.
Crap.

With this powerful hungry feeling holding us, Fanny, touched by God's grace, dropped this bomb :
"Oh, streetlights are very dirty here !" (LOEHLE Fanny, Thoughts of Norway, 2011).
As we are not really convinced, we just let you do your own opinion :

         After this existential wondering, we participated to a self-defence sports lesson with the best teacher we have ever seen (be quiet, he's just behind me and I'm writing under pressure... Mom, if you read those lines...) : Christophe Schnitzler.

Dealing with the tensions growing up in the group,

we decided to face the local students.

Noticing that they look like cute innocent children, we tried do not to hurt them, as you can see :

       With this great demonstration of power and will, we were naturally invited to the universal and international world's most famous basketball tournament (no, it's not too much) : the Kevin Costner's Tour.

PS : As we're sold out of jokes, we're unable to propose you another one. Sorry for this lack of inspiration.

PPS : here's just a short note to tell you that we deliberately lost the tournament to let our friend Déborah win for her birthday. Actually, she lost.
